Preserved Farmland Bike Rides 2020
A few months ago, we reached out to some of our savviest cycling friends and asked if they would help us create some unforgettable bike routes around their favorite roads in Lancaster County. They jumped at the chance to show off their “neighborhoods,” and so…
We are thrilled to release FOUR custom bike routes created by local riders who love farmland as much as you do. Explore Strasburg, Intercourse, and Lititz with rides ranging from 16 miles to 33 miles! Along each ride, you will find several preserved farms, and even some one-room schoolhouses, roadside produce stands, orchards, and more.
Beginning Saturday, September 5, and running through September 20, riders will find signs along each route denoting farms preserved through Lancaster Farmland Trust. We encourage you to take advantage of late summer’s bounty with a ride through rural Lancaster County.
While you’re out, snap a photo with a preserved farm in the background and tag us in it using the hashtag #LancFarmland to see your photo featured in our social media feed.
If you want to ride like a local, click the links below to find PDF maps and cue sheets, and GPX files for each ride.
Miss our former bike event, Pedal to Preserve? Relive your favorite parts of those routes using the maps and cue sheets below.
Please note: courses are not marked and Lancaster Farmland Trust will provide no aid stations. Cyclists riding these routes will do so at their own risk. Always obey traffic signs and wear proper safety equipment.
