Our Top Ten Moments of 2025
It’s almost time to ring in the New Year, but before we look ahead to 2026, we wanted to take a moment to reflect on some of our favorite moments of 2025! This year was filled with fun events, cherished memories, and, of course, more preserved farms for LFT! While there are too many great moments to list here, we’ve chosen 10 of our favorites.
1. Raising $225,000 at the Annual Dinner
On October 9th, we preserved the 97-acre Conley Farm in one evening together! We want to thank everyone who attended the dinner to celebrate Lancaster agriculture, as well as our generous donors, sponsors, guest speakers, and West Hempfield Township for their match. Thanks to you, the Conley farm is now protected forever!
2. Boosting our efforts for ExtraGive
This year, we gave extra to ExtraGive! From hosting a brand-new event at Proof of Lancaster to launching tailored social media ads, this year’s ExtraGive was bigger and better than ever, raising $115,377 together. Thank you to everyone who gave, spread the word, and visited us on ExtraGive this year!
3. Managing 48 conservation projects
When we preserve a farm, the work doesn’t end there. We know that one of the most essential pieces of preservation is conservation. That’s why we work with our farmers to implement environmentally friendly practices to ensure their farms and waterways are as healthy as possible! This year, LFT and other partners managed 48 conservation projects, completing 11 and continuing work with 37 others!
4. Donating over 7,700 pounds of produce
Since the start of the Farm to Pantry Project last year, we have harvested thousands of pounds of produce for local food banks together! In 2025, volunteers gathered for two harvests, gathering 7,796 pounds of produce to donate to alleviate food insecurity in Lancaster. 5. Digitizing our annual report
To celebrate the success of 2024, we decided to reimagine the annual report! For the first time, our annual report was available in both print and interactive digital formats, and we are so excited to show everyone and share the impact of LFT’s work with more people! 6. Wrapping up our awareness campaign
Last year, we partnered with Infantree to launch an awareness campaign across Lancaster County, spreading the word about our mission through billboards, ads, print publications, and more! This year, we are proud to announce we that have successfully completed the campaign, reaching thousands of Lancastrians across the county and successfully recruiting new supporters!
7. Releasing our most powerful video yet
This year, we released “Saving the Lancaster You Love,” an 8-minute documentary digging deep into the many perspectives of LFT through the eyes of hard-working farmers. Hear their stories, learn about their challenges, and celebrate their victories by checking it out now on our YouTube! Click here to watch it now.
8. Enjoying brand-new events together
2025 was jam-packed with exciting events for LFT, including new events with new partners! One of our most successful new events was the Farm to Table Dinner with Passerine, where guests enjoyed 5 courses of farm-fresh food prepared by some of the best chefs in Lancaster, learning about each dish and their connections to our farmland. We loved seeing everyone and meeting new friends, and we can’t wait to see what’s in store for 2026!
9. Preserving 16 farms in one year
Together, we’ve preserved 16 farms in 2025! Thanks to you and your support, these 16 farms are now protected forever, and with your help, we can see that number grow even bigger in 2026.
10. Receiving Accreditation Status
We are so excited to announce that our Land Trust Accreditation has been granted for another 7 years! Granted by the Land Trust Alliance Accreditation Commission, accreditation status confirms a land trust meets the highest national standards for excellence and conservation permanence. Strong ethical practices, a commitment to the long-term stewardship of land, and conservation easements in the public interest unite accredited organizations. We are so honored and excited to achieve this national mark of distinction!
