What’s in Season This September?

As fall slowly approaches, early September is the perfect time to enjoy the last of summer’s produce and the start of cold crops in Lancaster County. 1. Apples
An apple a day keeps the doctor away! They also reduce inflammation, aid in digestion, and promote gut health through antioxidants, fiber, and other goodies. Apples’ peak season is September and October, so stop by your local roadside stand or orchard to pick your own!
2. Broccoli
Broccoli’s fall harvest takes place from September to November in PA. Eating broccoli helps to control blood sugar, boost immunity, and protect the lining of your gut through fiber, vitamin C, and various compounds.
3. Pumpkins
