Farm-Fresh Valentine’s Day Gift Ideas

February 12, 2026

Valentine’s Day is just around the corner, and what better way to impress that special someone than by supporting local farms? Not only do our farms provide us with delicious, nutritious produce every season, but they also have gifts perfect for any occasion! If you’re unsure of what to put in this year’s Bae Basket, we’ve got you covered. Shop local this Valentine’s Day to treat your loved ones and support something everyone in Lancaster loves – our farms!

Local Flowers

Flowers are a must on Valentine’s Day, and Lancaster County is rich with flower farms! Many farm markets and stands sell various flowers and plants all year, but if you’d like a specialty bouquet for your loved ones, check out Central Market Flowers! Visit their booth in Lancaster Central Market, shop online, or check out their store located on 258 N Queen St in Lancaster. They have gorgeous various pre-made bouquets available for all occasions.

Sweet Treats

Who doesn’t love a sweet treat on Valentine’s Day? Lancaster County is known for its fresh baked goods, from fastnachts to whoopie pies. Most local farm stands and markets offer delicious home-made baked goods, but if you’d like to support a preserved farm, check out Windy Hill Bake Shop, located at
128 Field Crest Ln, Gordonville, PA. Their hours are Thursday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.!

Home-made Candles

Whether you’re planning a romantic dinner at home or a cozy night in, locally made candles are the perfect touch. For a thoughtful, hand-crafted candle from a local business, check out Pineapple House Creations’ booth at Lancaster Central Market! Their beautifully poured candles make a sweet addition to any Valentine’s gift basket, and all of the ingredients they use are 100% natural and organic! Lancaster Central Market is open Friday, Saturday, and Tuesday from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. Stop by for all kinds of local goodies!

Gourmet Pickles

In Lancaster, pickles are all the rage. We pickle everything in almost any flavor you could imagine, perfect for those salt-fanatics in your life. Chow-chow, red-beets, and good old fashioned dill pickles can be found at most farm markets, but if you’d like to support a preserved farm stand, Smucker’s Farm Market is open year-round. They are located at 2110 Rockvale Rd, Lancaster, PA, and they’re open every day from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., excluding Sundays. Visit them for pickled goods, home-made jams, and more this V-Day!

Local Chocolates

What is Valentine’s Day without chocolate? Pennsylvania is known for its chocolate – from Hershey’s to Wildbur Chocolates, our hard-working dairy farmers make these staples possible (and so delicious). To support local farms and small businesses, check out local chocolate shops like the Wilbur Chocolate Retail Store, located at 45 N Broad St, Lititz, PA, or the Lancaster Sweet Shoppe, which you can visit at 141 N Duke St, Lancaster, PA. Check out these shops for those perfect chocolate boxes and gift baskets!

Artisan Honey

Sweet and simple, local honey makes a deliciously underrated Valentine’s Day gift. You can find local honey all over the county, but Harvest Lane Farm Market is a fan-favorite here at the LFT office. Plus, they sell pre-made Valentine’s Day baskets full of local goodies, from honey to stroopies! Check out Harvest Lane Farm Market online, or visit them 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. every day but Sundays. You can find their store at 851 E Oregon Rd, Lititz, PA.

Remember that many local stands accept cash or checks only, so we suggest that you stop by an ATM before visiting! As always, never take photos of our Amish or Plain-Sect community members. Visitors are often welcome to take pictures of the produce or farm property, as long as faces are not recognizable.

Not only does buying local guarantee you the best quality goods, but it also benefits the local economy and supports small businesses.
