It’s almost springtime in Lancaster County, which means it’s almost time to get your gardens ready for a summer harvest! Here in Lancaster, there are many great ways to start your own garden and support small businesses and local farms. If you’re looking to start a garden this spring but don’t know what to grow, take the personality quiz below to get you started! Need gardening supplies? Smucker’s Farm Market

Smucker’s Farm Market is a located at 2110 Rockvale Road, Lancaster, PA, and is open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. every day but Sunday. They offer plants, produce, and other locally-sourced grocery items. This market accepts both cash and card. Support Smucker’s to support an LFT preserved farm!

Harvest Lane Farm Market

Harvest Lane is located at 851 East Oregon Road, Lititz, PA. Their hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday. This market offers plants, locally-sourced fruits and veggies, as well as baked goods, meat, and dairy products. Harvest Lane accepts both cash and card.

Lemon Street Market

Lemon Street Market is an independent grocery store located in Lancaster City on 241 West Lemon Street, open every day from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Lemon street offers locally-sourced grocery items, including produce, meat, dairy, as well as various plants for the growing season. This market accepts both cash and card.

Ken’s Gardens

For all of your gardening needs, check out Ken’s. Ken’s is a family-owned gardening center with locations in both Lancaster and Ronks. Visit the Lancaster location at 2467 Old Philadelphia Pike from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Check out the Ronks location at 3552 West Newport Rd from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Neither location is open on Sunday. Grab your supplies and seedlings with either cash or card.
