Breakfast on the Farm Series

Things we love:  farm views, hot cups of coffee, and hearty, farm-fresh breakfasts. We invite you to meet a farmer who has chosen to preserve their land, get an insider tour of the farm, and enjoy a fresh breakfast on a preserved (or soon-to-be) farm!

Breakfast on Dutch Meadows Farm

Saturday, July 9th | 9:00 am - 11:00 am
694 Country Ln, Paradise, PA 17562

Tucked away in the heart of Lancaster County, Dutch Meadows Farm has been in the Stoltzfus family for three generations and has been an LFT preserved farm for 20 years. But the family’s commitment to our land doesn’t end with preservation - they have also practiced organic farming for more than two decades. On the farm, you’ll find a small shop selling grass-fed meats, cheeses, eggs, and other goodies - so bring some extra spending money!

Breakfast on the King Farm

Saturday, August 6th | 9:00 am - 11:00 am
1404 Houser Rd, Lancaster, PA 17602

Just south of the City of Lancaster and almost completely surrounded by development, the King’s picturesque 83-acre farm is home to dairy cows, horses, and chickens. As you stand on the edge of their field, it is easy to see how quickly farmland can disappear. Fortunately for the King family, their farm will be preserved this summer and protected for generations to come!

Breakfast on the Fisher Farm

Saturday, August 27th | 9:00 am - 11:00 am
115 Black Horse Rd, Paradise, PA 17562

The Fisher farm sits along a quiet road, familiar with the sounds of horse hooves and steel wheels. Bisected by a small tributary of Eshleman Run, the Fishers run a traditional dairy farm with support crops. To manage their soil and waterway health, LFT recently helped the family secure dedicated funding to cover the cost of conservation practices they want to implement – including barnyard improvements, a stream crossing, and a buffer along their stream.
